I’m seeing usually on personal and corporate websites ; .com, .org or .net. But there’s also particular ones for your country if you’re a business site like : .co.uk, .us or .ca. I’m seeing the most often online .ca for my currently living in country personally though. So, which one do you prefer to use personally and what are their differences anyways. I’m just curious because I’ve never had one in my lifetime, so ya please enlighten me guys, thanks.

.com is still my preferred one, although I have a soft spot for .co as well.

As for what their difference is, Wikipedia got you covered.

Thanks for the link. Never even heard of .co

I prefer the standard, easy to remember without having to bookmark the page, .com. net or .org. Over the years though it seems like they're coming up with wild ones like .xyz and the like.

Why do you prefer.com over all the others? Is it more expensive too than the others?

Well, it's probably not my first choice, and it really depends on where you get them at. Some places are cheaper than others. I expect some people look for bargains or half off sales and the like

I wouldn’t say I have a favourite, although I do like .uk as it’s the one for my home country.

i don’t like the super long ones though like .community, .engineering or .accountants for example. They’re just not practical I find.

I do think clever ones like companyname.design is cool for like style guides and such though.

Why though? Also, never heard about the other odd ones at all personally.

.com, easily - since it's the one that most people care about :P .

Also, I quite like anything that could be used for "domain hacking"; for example, using the .me domain for "chattingti.me".

Because I think it's quite a clever little trick, that simplifies your URL a bit :P .
